Swingin' Amiss combine the fundamentals with singer/ songwriter tendencies, and what comes out is modern folk-pop with a distinct jazz infusion. Concentrating on the song itself, a sound has formed around the band rather than the opposite. This contributes to their unique, genre-defying way of producing music. Occasionally folk, often jazz, sometimes a shuffle, the band writes songs that find their own definition. For "Speakeasy", the band wanted to present something feel-good and old-timey, and between the stompin', new-grass "Practice Makes Perfect" and the parlour-room feel of the title track, their mission was accomplished.
"All we want is to be everybody's favorite opening band" says the Limehouse Kid, singer.
