The Swingin' Medallions are the legendary South Carolina (Greenwood) party band that, not only helped establish and define the Carolina Beach Music scene in the 60's, but went on to international fame with their scintillating recording of "Double Shot (Of My Baby's Love)”, dubbed by the one and only Bruce Springsteen, as the number one fraternity rock song of all time. The song has become a staple in Springsteen’s live shows through the years. The Swingin’ Medallions – known simply as the Medallions intil the summer of ’65 – did their most significant recordings at either Arthur Smith’s famed studio in Charlotte or under the guidance of the legendary Bill Lowery in Atlanta, GA. This album contains a generous helping of hit recordings and covers of well known gems like “Hey Hey Baby”, “Hang On Sloopy” and “Louie Louie”, all done in the Medallion’s unmistakable “Animal House” style.
