Album Notes

With so many musical groups out there, do we really need another band saturating the music scene? Or has it been a while since an audience got a chance to hear fresh, exciting music from newcomers? The world can always use a new band that is innovative, and originality is definitely one term that can be used to describe Sydera. So what is it that sets Sydera apart from all the others? Never afraid to reveal their influences, Sydera blends a variety of styles, including traditional heavy metal and classic rock with nu-metal and even grunge. Being both raw and refined, aggressive yet melodic, sophisticated as well as primal, Sydera takes the best of all these worlds, making it all their own. Diversity is key to this band, which brings gifted players from various walks of life together to perform songs covering the entire spectrum of rock music. With a desire to experiment, instead of relying on cliches, Sydera stands out among their musical peers. But perhaps their single greatest asset is the exceptionally strong songwriting skills they possess, which shows a maturity well beyond their years. If variety is the spice of life, then Sydera might as well be the seasoning to any music fan's existence. When it comes down to it, at the end of the day, Sydera is more than mere entertainment. They are a bold statement to what is wrong with the music scene today: they are the antithesis to all the lackluster, corporate bands that bore their audiences with a simplicity bordering on the primitive. They are the direct opposite of copy-cat, clone bands that rip off established acts without forging their own signature sound. Ultimately, they are sworn ememies of "artists" that concentrate more on image and style rather than on music and substance. Sydera is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Taking their passion for music and bringing it to the next level, they will no doubt be elevated alongside some of the Rock/Metal world's elite.

REVIEWS

Straight at you Hard Rock
author: Kori Valley
From beginning to end the cd flows smoothly. With catchy guitair riffs and vocal melodies, this cd has little to shy away from. A great cd to add to your collection. If the debut is this good, well, the follow up will be highly anticipated.
