Album Notes

Synethia, as you will soon hear, is one of the brightest talents to materialize from the Atlanta music scene. The lady may have a mystical name, but you'll need no sixth sense to predict widespread acclaim is imminent, for this talented vocalist is destined to make quite and impact nationally.

Originally hailing from Newnan, Ga. she has made Atlanta her home for many years. A self-trained pianist and writer, Synethia showed an early affinity for music since the age of five. Like many performers, she began singing in her church choir where she learned to project her voice without the aid of a microphone. Synethia has performed with the likes of Donna Allen, Peggy Scott, Solomon Burke, Betty Wright, Johnny Taylor, Buddy Guy, Clarence Carter, Little Milton, Denise Lasalle, Dorothy Moore and Marvin Sease just to name a few.

"You Were Doin Bad When I Metcha", "In My Arms", "It Be's That Way Sometimes" and "What A Mean Feeling" were just a few of the hits on this CD.

Synethia did not compromise her music for the sake of being trendy: Quite to the contrary, her convictions run deep and her material is naturally accessible on its own terms. It is safe to say that she will find wide spread acceptance on her on merits, which are considerable.
