The 7 Ambassadors have been singing together for more than 11 years. Formed way back in Nigeria while in college, then moved to the United States in 1998 and have been singing all over the States ever since. Today they represent a new style of gospel voice, blending primitive African rhythm and sound with rich, silky, modern harmony. They have 3 albums to their credit and the most current is quite an exceptional one.
While in Nigeria they received recognition as the Best Gospel Artist in 1996/1997. After their tour of Sweden, they returned and went to Alabama for the PowerLife '99 Gospel Talent Search Show where they were awarded the 1st prize.
Nearly all the music they sing are composed or arranged by group members. All the songs represent their own unique arrangements. They sing of love, unity, and the joy of life, as well as preach peace.
They hope that this music provides their worldwide audience with a unique and joyful gospel music experience.

I like it!!! I don't care for singing/listening to songs of other languages 'cause you never know what you're saying, but, I always have, even as a child, LOVED the African music and this CD is prime example why. It's wonderful.

Afro-American contemporary music and modern gospel with a palpable pop influence. They are a spot-on vocal septet that beautifully packs African influences, language and percussion, into a package with western pop and gospel mentality. Think of it as Take 6 performing with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Both lead and backing vocals are stellar. The whole package is gorgeous.
