Album Notes

"Every once in a while I get some great material that makes me wonder, 'Why haven't they been signed to a national label?'...Allison is one such artist."-John Fizer, Pulp Radio
Travis and his band have been gigging 150-200 shows a year along the club and college circuit from New York to Atlanta for 6 years. Recently relocated to Charleston, SC from Richmond, VA the band performs a collection of originals that range in sound from rock to acoustic.

The band originated in 1996 when Travis Allison, who had been playing Virginia clubs and schools with his solo acoustic act, took on Chris Vasi, lead guitarist from Buffalo with an unlimiting style and groove. Travis' focus has always been on songwriting. Saxist Greg Dryden added a soulful blues influence. Bassist Pat Porter and drummer Dan Costanzo from Richmond have now completed the band's roster, and the band has had a blast becoming best friends while arranging Travis' tunes for so many different shows.

There are currently four albums under the band's belt. Their first release, Some Other Time (1995) has sold more than 5,000 copies. This album features songs that have won prizes in the V.O.C.A.L. (Virginia Organization of Composers and Lyricists) national song contest including grand prize for "Some Years Ago," and first place "Who are You?".
