Album Notes

THE ASSUMPTION COLLEGE CHAPEL CHOIR
The Assumption College Chapel Choir is primarily a liturgical choir comprised of approximately 65-75 singers drawn from all areas of the undergraduate and graduate student body at Assumption College, Worcester,MA.

The Choir provides music for all liturgical celebrations at the college, such as the Advent Service of Lessons and Carols, Masses during Family Weekend, Open House Weekend, Mass of the Holy Spirit, and the Baccalaureate Mass. It recently sang for the Founder's Day celebration Mass as a part of the college's centenary celebration, performed at the President's Council dinner at Worcester historic Mechanics Hall, and was invited for a second time to provide backup vocals for country music legend Kenny Rogers at two concerts on his Christmas tour: Kenny Rogers and Friends Celebrate the Season.

In harmony with the three-year ABC cycle of readings for the liturgical year, the Chapel Choir recently adopted a three-year program cycle for the Spring semester during which it 1) produces a fully staged production of Stephen Schwartz's smash-hit Broadway musical GODSPELL,
(2) undertakes a Choir Mission Tour in order to carry its music and message to others, and 3) presents a concert for Holy Week featuring selections from all three sections of Handel's Messiah with soloists and chamber orchestra.

The Chapel Choir is under the direction of Ms. Jane Shivick, soprano and National Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, and is accompanied by Dr. Frank Corbin, nationally-renowned and prize winning organist. Accompanying instruments include piano, bass guitar, percussion, and organ. Choir members are taught to sing in various languages through the use of contemporary and traditional repertoire.

Looking for One Special Song
author: Jim Spencer
Another reviewer mentioned his search for "Lord When You Came to the Seashore" - same with me, and I was really knocked out by the TACC performance on that song as well as on most of the others. Quality is exceptionally good for a non-professional effort (I hope that comes across as a compliment!).

Looking for 1 specific song and love all on CD.
author: D Boling
Did a search for a specific song (Lord when you came to the Seashore) and found your website and this CD. Love every song and the voices are amazing. I bought one for myself and another for my mother, who is bedridden. Thank you so much for bringing some much needed joy into her life.
