"The Back Road Home" consists of most of the tracks from Tad's earlier release in 1994 called "Navajo Nights"newly remastered plus 6 recently recorded tunes and songs. Navajo Nights received praise in publications such as Fiddler Magazine, Bluegrass Unlimited and Acoustic Music Magazine. It made it to many "Best in Bluegrass" lists in 1994 and received much airplay despite its initial release as a cassette tape.Dede Wyland sings on several songs.
