With influences drawn from old school punk rock, classic country, garage, hardcore, and southern rock, Tailgunner Joe & The Earls of Slander are an amalgamation of styles that can only be described as balls-to-the-wall rock n\' roll. On \"The Red Scare,\" Tailgunner Joe bangs out the frenetic, high energy danceable punk of \"The Street,\" the rollicking honky-tonk alt country of \"Killzone,\" penned by The Slackers\' Vic Ruggiero and writer Phil Nerges, the Fogerty-esque swamp rock of \"That\'s Alright,\" and the chugging buzzsaw groove mania of \"This is Your Brain.\" The debut EP captures the sweaty exertion of the band\'s live show, an in-your-face, never-a-dull-moment rock n\' roll blitzkreig reminiscent of the band\'s fiery communist-hunting namesake.
