Formed in 1999, Tailothepup was born out of a desire to create music that aliens, robots and even zombies could enjoy, and to strike a mighty blow against mankind's unfortunate tendencies toward mediocrity. Let's face facts: Life is too frigging short for music created by greedy brats who just want your money. For years, Pup has aggressively forged a new territory in 21st Century American music, overdubbing unusual sounds over enticing beats and melodies. The bottom line: we make music we like to hear. It's entirely possible you'll like to hear it too.
Pup's latest release, Yars Revenge, is the perfect intro-point for the "N00b", as any of their recent albums have been; there's something for everyone. Don't mistake them for yet another crop of preening trust-fund twerps with too much time, fancy equipment and esoteric attitude on their hands... Pup is no gimmick-brigade, but a group of guys genuinely eager to show you something new and exciting. Elements of hip-hop, rock and even old-school video-game tunes combine to form what will please even the most world-weary Contrarian prick. But hey, don't take our word for it, just because we MADE it!
"I'm an unemployed grad student who writes freelance for a quarterly music rag with a circulation of about two thousand, so you'd better believe my opinion is IMPORTANT! I can't think of three or four bands to compare Pup to in my awesome column, so therefore THEY SUCK!" -Rick Madeupman, Dinkwater Musick Zine
"Why don't they play live? Gee willikers, playing live is the sum total of a band's worth, regardless of how hard they work in the studio! Even if they perform in a tent somewhere for an audience that consists only of two blood relations and a dog! Worthless- I refuse to acknowledge them!" -Eric Cantshuthisfatmouth, DJ at some college station no one listens to
So there you have it. We hope you take a listen and enjoy, and maybe we shouldn't be telling you this so early, but... um, we love you.

This cd is awesome and I want to know about this Shaky guy
author: Shakinistas
We have followed ShakyJ for years but not a single person really can tell us where he hails from. Tail of the pup caught some audio of him in a train station somewhere near little five points but we want to hear more of him and his band of shakinistas.
