Album Notes
It's been a long road from Taimoor Saeedi's birthplace in Iran to his debut CD. This journey has taken him from playing on the streets to working in small groups in clubs and restaurants to leading his own band in Europe and US.

His music draws on all of these experiences-jazz and Persian music, classical and folk techniques, acoustic and electric instruments blend in his own compositions and some unexpected covers. Listen.

taimoor saeedi - acoustic/electric guitar
pepe gonzalez - bass
mark prince - drums
mark merrela - drums/percussion
kenny rittenhouse - trumpet
charles bubeck - vibrophone
jon ozment - piano/fender rhodes
bruce swaim - soprano sax
imani - voice

Jazz Nut
This is an excellent cd, love the arrangements and the variety of musicianship that comes through the songs. Looking forward to playing it again.

Intricate and interesting -- love it!
This CD by Taimoor Band is intricate and interesting. I thoroughly enjoy listening to it with my full attention or as a background music while entertaining guests at my home. It's a CD I can listen to again and again.

Truly enjoyable
This is truly enjoyable CD. The strings create a create vibe and the selections are diverse and interesting. My favorite "Chains" and a listener favorite of my WPFW morning show audience.
