ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If the absence of feelings were to ever occur then there would not be a Tajlyn song. They are centered around the emotions that many of us face and may not realize. That's what she set out to do five years ago when she began to write and compose songs.

Being a self taught musician, with the exception of the violin, she developed her own style of playing throughout her adolescence. "I would just play my sisters guitar whenever I had a chance, and I would work on drum beats or figure out guitar riffs in my head during class. If I wasn't watching television I was playing music."

It didn't take long till she joined her first band at sixteen. Just jamming with a few classmates in a garage that's where she starting writing her own guitar parts. When the band dispersed is when Tajlyn's songwriting really began. Experimenting with guitar, bass, keys, and drum beats was what the next few years were made up of. Not even thinking of lyrics, which became the last piece.

"When it comes to writing a song it's all about the feeling for me. Each song has to have a certain flow about it. When I first started writing songs, lyrics weren't as natural for me as composing was at the time. There were a few songs that I had for years without lyrics till I finally managed to figure them out. It's just difficult to know exactly what to say sometimes, but that's what makes song writing so exciting."

No matter how difficult song writing can be for Tajlyn, she still takes on the challenge. Songs that can be shared and enjoyed by anyone who wants to listen. So if you are in search for a little something new for your ears, feel free to listen to a Tajlyn song. All are welcome.
