Crisp, competent, downright pleasant smooth jazz at its best. Tal has the savvy to avoid clichés in his compositions and the arrangements are always polished and pleasant not tediously over-slick and shiny. I guess the key here is balance - the band is tight and yet every player seems to flow seamlessly in his own groove. The recordings are crystalline and I am sure many will appreciate the lack of tedious overdubbing on this production. A great start from a budding new artist. I have no doubt that we will be hearing much more from him in the future! Eliot Coe Ex-jazz director WSND-FM
