Internal Voice
Crisp, competent, downright pleasant smooth jazz at its best. Tal has the savvy to avoid clichés in his compositions and the arrangements are always polished and pleasant not tediously over-slick and shiny. I guess the key here is balance - the band is tight and yet every player seems to flow seamlessly in his own groove. The recordings are crystalline and I am sure many will appreciate the lack of tedious overdubbing on this production. A great start from a budding new artist. I have no doubt that we will be hearing much more from him in the future!
