Snowboard Songwriter DARIN TALBOT grew up in Lake Tahoe during the pioneering days of the sport. Back when riders had to hike up mountains in search of powder runs and literally duct-taped Sorrel boots to their wooden boards as makeshift bindings.

Methods, airs, fatties, freshies, and ridin fakey loose are terms you really don't have to know to enjoy Talbot's tunes, but it might help. As a young local, DT learned the area's Backcountry by hiking and surveying fire roads in the off season.

Nods to many legendary landmarks in the Tahoe region are in Talbot's songs: Squaw Valley's Palisades, Granite Chief, Mt.Rose Chutes, and Mt. Rose Highway Nevada State Route 431.
