Album Notes

Since falling in love with the guitar at an early age, Martin Tallstrom has built a guitar playing/ songwriting/ arranging style of his own influenced by everything from pop, westcoast, bluegrass and folk/ roots music as well as fingerstyle, classical and even flamenco(!) guitar.

This new acoustic release showcases Martin´s style well – from original songs and original covers of famous pop tunes to new age, bluegrass and beyond.

Quotes:

"WARNING - this acoustic guitar CD may cause you to feel emotional, excited, happy and deeply satisfied"

"Martin Tallstrom draws on the influences of the acoustic masters, from the drive and power of Tommy Emmanuel, the funkiness of Jerry Reed, to the melodic joy of Andy McKee, yet with his own unique style he creates music of profound emotion, joy and pleasure"

Brilliant...

Martin Tallstrom is such a fine guitarist! The warning that is written is 100% true.. this album DOES have a lot of emotions. The order the tracks are put in is excellent. Martin takes you in a journey starting with the song "Lost in the Rain," which has a very catchy melody and a wonderful vocal performance, then moves you back in time with a great *oldish* sound and the best rendition I've heard of "Freight Train" to fill you with energy and happiness. As the album goes on, you move to different places... then Martin finally ends your journey with a great piece, "The Rose," and it's such a beautiful, timeless melody! This album is highly recommended for any listener of any type. It's not just specified for fingerstyle because it ranges from Acoustic to Country to Pop to everything else! Martin truly knows how to get you goin' with it. I salute you and your talent Sir Martin... that's a great accomplishment.
