Known as the “local-up-and-comers of Champaign (IL)”, (The Buzz), Tall Tale’s girl fronted, melodic, piano based power pop has become a regular fixture at the famed Champaign venue, the Canopy Club, as well as making an impact in the surrounding areas of Bloomington, Peoria, and Chicago. Compared to such bands as Straylight Run, Eisley, and the Hush Sound, Tall Tale has a sound that appeals to a wide audience of all generations and genders. Many say the vocals of Tracey and Tricia are almost indecipherable from one another as they blend together in their haunting harmonies. Using honest and smart lyrics, the vocals tell relatable stories while the instruments create a melodic background of atmospheric guitars, driving drums, moving bass and elaborate piano. With the debut of their first full-length album, Pirate Ship, Tall Tale has a bright future in 2008.

Soft Rock?

This description is very misleading. Tall Tale is so much more than that. The songs are melodic, complex and polished, but they certainly know how to "punch it up" with power guitar riffs. Apology is very strong and is worthy of multiple listens. Keep an eye on this up and coming band!

Tall Tale is the Real Deal!

This band is amazing! Gorgeous harmonies, unique lyrics and flawless production make this CD a real standout. These artists present honest emotion through catchy keyboards and powerful guitars. Standouts include the angry Apology, catchy Never Knew, emotional Expectations and sublimely personal Tree Song. Don't miss this one, you wont be disappointed!
