An old soul with a young heart makes Tamara's sound as familiar as the sultry, smokey Jazz and Blues greats like Ella and Billie, yet as reminiscent as the fresh, hip sounds of Alicia Keys, Macy Gray and Jill Scott. Her sweet vocal style and beautifully written songs are winning the hearts of those who enjoy R&B, Jazz, Soul and Pop, she is definantly making an impact strait across the board and to audiences of all ages.

Born and raised inVancouver,Canada, Tamara has been performing since a young age. After high school Tamara moved toNew York Citywhere she attended theAmericanAcademyof Dramatic Arts.

Since then, Tamara has studied with cabaret legen Helen Baldassare at TheNewSchoolUniversityand with the Professional Jazz Division at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music. There she majored in Voice and performed with various ensembles from gospel to traditional jazz bands (some of which she even enjoyed playing the sax in!)

Tamara has performed in many events and shows in her home town ofVancouverand inNew York-the 'Shiva's Divas' show at CrushChampagneLounge, as well as a series of charity concerts called "Stripped" and "Fashion RocksVancouver". You also may have heard her singing the Title track to the hit television show on Showcase "Show Me Yours", where her songs " Sweetest Thing" and "Empty Room" were featured as well . "Pushin My Buttons" and "All My Ladies" was also featured on Godivas on Bravo and City Tv. With a voice as captivating as Motown's finest...be sure to keep a look out for her Album-"Double Feature Summer 2005.

Greetings from the UK.Got into Tamara from the "Blood Ties" music.Love that track, so pursued her cd history, which led me to this album.She has a very good unique vocal style which makes listening to her very enjoyable.The music on the album is extremely good.I hope she will make more albums in the near future,maybe to include the "Blood Ties" track??
