Tam Lin Music is a catch-all name for songs written and performed by Paul Weinfield. Paul was born in New York City, where he lives now (after some forays into the world beyond.)
Paul's songs have been compared to those of David Byrne, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, and Sufjan Stevens. They draw on an eclectic range of influences, from traditional American folk music to modal jazz to post-punk to Tin Pan Alley standards.
Tam Lin is a fairy king in old Scotch ballads who magically impregnates women. Paul believes that songs are like children: they come from you but leave after a while. If you're interested in adopting one of his songs, please do.
