Wow, it\'s been way over a year since the last CD. So I guess this baby\'s a \"golden oldie\" already! I recorded it with Bill Dudley\'s much-appreciated \"assist\", thinking I was gonna take a year-off, & travel the planet. After selling off a house we\'d owned 30 years...on a busy Tampa corner & makin\'-a-bundle!
During the moving-out process (we went thru four contracts with the buyer), I managed to set these CDs aside, (& lose them) as the day-to-day got busier. & more-depressing as buyer got shot down by lender-after-lender. (16 bankers he went through!)
So after lots of searching thru a really messy studio, I found these babies in..of course..The Last Place I looked. Like a fine ol\' cheese, it\'s now aged-a-wee-bit. Still, I think you\'ll find most of it tasty: opening track is wildly fun, definitely different for a birthday party singalong. Rockers oughta love Chuck Crowe\'s guitar work behind \"The Heat\". (Eric Clapton reportedly did - \"a lot.\")
Country folks\'ll chuckle about \"We All Cheat\". The title track, & \"Disappearin\' Mornin\' Blues\". My own \"Personal Faves\" are \"Doubtful Burgers (& Questionable Fries) - A delightful sweet little Samba about food-poisoning, (a true-life adventure, I\'ll add!) & \"I\'m Writing the Next Big Song\". Which of course I\'m always working-at in what passes for spare time. Hopefully there\'ll soon be a follow-up CD to this baby. And I won\'t misplace the results for a year again. Oh. And anybody lookin\' for a 3200 sq foot 2-story pink masonry \"Mediterranean Revival\" house zoned \"Residential\" upstairs & \"Commercial\" downstairs..1st bldg south of a major tampa intersection..Give me an email, eh? (Could make a great studio!)

In Every Life...there\'s some Doubtful Burgers and Questionable Fries
author: Kaley
Along with the other songs true to TampaStan\'s unique style (i.e., Doubtful Burgers and Questionable Fries ...Oh Can I Relate!!!) there is a very heartwarming song in this collection about special kids.....THE RACE ....I did a bit of snooping about on the internet and found that TampaStan\'s song was a Lyrics FINALIST in the 2001 Just Plain Folks Songwriting Contest.....I can see why!!!...I enjoy much of TampaStan\'s Writings...but especially appreciate the tender side.
