Tank Half Full presents their most impressive CD to date.., after re-tooling their lineup in late 2011, it became apparent very quickly that the new lineup is something special.., with original members Chris Head and Kevin Beers ready to stretch their musical legs, the new addition, guitarist Richard Horrell proved to be the perfect fit. Richard quickly put his musical stamp on Tank Half Full's new material, giving Kevin and Chris room to run.
The new CD features twelve new songs written by Chris Head, each with it's own flare.., from the tongue-in-cheek diddy "Ooh Juliet", to the longing and regret of "September", to the title track "The Luck I Have", each song paints a lyrical picture for the listener.
Chris Head - Vocals & Guitar
A native of Louisville, Ky., Chris was raised on a steady diet of country and popular music, early influences included Nat King Cole, George Jones, and Dean Martin, followed by songwriting heroes John Hiatt, Neil Finn, and Lyle Lovett.., The result is an eclectic mix of song styles, that give “TankHalfFull” their unique sound.
Richard Horrell - Guitar & Piano
The newest addition to “TankHalfFull”, Richard brings a wide array of musical influences to the group.., from Metallica to Lyle Lovett to Dream Theater.., Richard possesses a vast repertoire of playing styles, along with a creative spirit that quickly meshed with the group, and has now become a key part of their signature sound.
Kevin Beers - Bass
Kevin began his musical career playing trumpet in elementary school. He took an early interest in jazz, then broadened his musical range by taking up bass guitar when he was sixteen. Kevin’s musical influences include; Wilco, Peter Himmelman, and The Dave Matthews Band. These and many other influences, reflect in the musical styling Kevin brings to “TankHalfFull” .
