This CD seriously brought tears to my eyes. The honesty, openess with which she sings, you really feel you're getting a window straight into the soul of this amazing woman and artist.   Tanya's song writing, it really is poetry,  has reached new heights that I never thought were possible.  And some of the songs have been reworked in really cool, different ways, like Roll you Home - one of my all time favs ..... so fun and upbeat and so hard to sit still :)   LOVE your work Tan, and this is your best by far!

Loved the easy sound of Tanya and her original songs.  Great to play when your trapped in your house during a snowstorm in Wisconsin and all there is to do is clean and bake cookies!  I loved each song and have been playing it everday since I got it.  Also, the art on the cover is amazing...good job Tanya!

Tanya Winch sure can sing 'em.  And she can write 'em too.  Everything from Tanya's poetry to her fun twang rounds out this great collection of songs.   When she sings about Opa Lights you feel that you really are there; when you realize you aren't, you want to jump on the next plane to Austin, TX and see her live!   Tanya handles both pathos and humor adeptly with her sensitive song writing.   She sings with such feeling that all the love that she pours into these soulful recordings surrounds you like an embrace.  Tanya is a true musician and a prolific poet.   A gem like Dirty Mercy comes along once in a blue moon.
