“Hopeless Romantic” showcases Tarah’s easy romantic style with light jazz standards. She is accompanied in four of her songs by accomplished guitarist, Jesse Goodwin, a good friend and excellent artist.

Tarah’s love of music started very early. When she was a baby her mom would play Elvis records while she toddled around in her living room. As soon as the music started, Tarah would stop whatever baby adventure she was on, crawl to the nearest coffee table, pull herself up, and begin shaking her diaper to the beat!

Tarah has been involved in school choirs and church choirs from elementary school to college. In college, Tarah majored in vocal music education. She was then introduced to Opera, and started developing her classical singing skills. She has been classified as a lyrical first soprano with a coloratura voice.

Along with Opera, Tarah is fluent in singing and performing many other genres of music: Pop, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Standards, Country, Acoustic, Alternateve, Big Band, Easy Listening, Soul, and A Cappella to name a few. She has trained with many well accomplished and very respected professionals in the music industry such as Seth Riggs, Roger Burnley, Kelly Garrett, and John Boyer.

In January 2006 Tarah and her family moved from Texas to Los Angeles to pursue her singing career. Shortly after moving to LA she joined an all girl group as one of their lead singers. They sang R&B and POP and performed in a few spots around LA. After several months of switching girls the group finally separated. Tarah continues to pursue her career as a solo artist.
