I began writing "Cure" because I was too moved by each person with Huntington's Disease who I have met. Too moved by every family member who did not inherit it. Too moved by every family member who did. For those who may not know, Huntington's Disease is a degenerative neurological disorder. Every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of inheriting the disease. And it is a disease for which there is no cure. Yet.
For the last five years, I have been involved with this community of extraordinary people and finally it was too much. They needed a song. They need a cure. I am not a research scientist but I can do what I can. And, if you'd like to, so can you. We can support the scientists and those striving to find a cure. This we can do.
