Album Notes

"Stratospheric, completed in March 2007, is the 9th Tastiera album, and the first one to go on sale. It is quite an evolution from the earlier Tastiera style developed in the late 80's and early 90's. Those albums were produced using whatever a shoestring budget could afford, from toy-sized Casio keyboards for performance to whatever boom box Shawn could find for mixing and mastering back and forth on cassettes. But "Stratospheric" features the same topical lyrics, passionate but unpolished vocals, and driving synth sounds of early Tastiera, with a bit more piano and guitar sprinkled in.
