Album Notes

Here's the newest album from The Taters, Just One Night, released in 2007. It was recorded in Ashland, VA, and includes Craig & Brad along with a host of side Taters, including Diana Carr (pedal steel) , Stu Grimes (drums), Jim Wark (guitar), Ned Henson (guitar), and Alan MacEwen & Chris Watling from The Grandsons on horns.

"We decided it was time to do a live album, since that's where we meet most of our listeners, and vice versa", said Craig in a recent interview. "It also gave us a chance to do some updated versions of some of the tunes from our early albums, as well as some covers that are regular requests at our shows. The cool thing was how well all of it came together in a single show! We had originally planned to have to record several gigs and piece together an album from that, but when we listened to the tracks, we decided that we had all we needed to work from right there. Thanks goes out to a great set of musicians, and a wonderful engineer for pulling all of this together in just one night!"

Just saw these guys open for Los Lobos, and I bought this CD at the show. It's outstanding! Great vocals and a lot of fun!

Fabulous! Almost as good as Tatering in person...

This album is nearly as much fun as a Taters concert! There's a great mix of Taters originals and covers, including a little bit of the unexpected (The Boxer) that will blow you away. Spuds of all ages will find something to love on this CD, which conveys much of the energy of a live Taters show. It'll make you want to check their calendar for the next live show near you!
