Album Notes

Charlie Tatman is from Grove City, Ohio. He has been playing and singing for as long as he can remember. Growing up the youngest son of a fire and brimstone Baptist preacher, he learned at an early age to jump, shout, and share the spirit. He has played with several local bands, most of which played classic and southern rock as well as some country. His influences are the classic rock bands of the seventies such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Molly Hatchet, and Ted Nugent. When he’s not performing solo he fronts for the band Bad Influence.

When performing solo Charlie plays an Ovation doubleneck and plays a wide variety of hits and misses from Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, John Mellencamp, Travis Tritt, Toby Keith and others as well as some great originals. His playlist is full of songs you can sing along with and he is sure to please almost anyone.

When performing with his band he plays a Gibson Flying V or an Ovation CKO57 through a Marshall JCM 800 amplifier. His band plays classic and southern rock with a little country thrown in for taste. They are currently working on some originals.

Charlie's original music is hard to throw into a single category. Songs like Last Of A Dying Breed and Runnin have the southern rock feel while Nothing Lasts Forever and Gypsy are more country, while All The Way and Storm On The Loose are classic rockers. Charlie feels that this is how it should be. He says "I like more than one kind of music so it's natural that my original music should reflect the styles that I enjoy, not just a style."

This CD, Charlie's first, is the cumination of several years of songwritting and he hopes you enjoy it. Feel free to contact him via his website, www.CharlieTatman.com or at the E-mail address on this page.

Can't stop listening to it!

Charlie Tatman is a must-have CD, in my opinion! It is all the music I grew up listening to rolled into one awesome CD; a little bit of southern rock, a little bit of classic rock, a little bit of metal, a little bit of country and little bit of blues. No matter what your musical preference, you are sure to find something you like here! Charlie Tatman has really outdone himself on this one! I'd be hard pressed to pick my favorite! I sit here listening to "Wrong Side of the Tracks" and am drawn to the heavy metal influence and think "this is my favorite", then I hear the bluesy feel of "All the Way" and think "maybe this one is my favorite". Then there's "Sunshine Girl", a monster ballad I can't take off repeat! Hmmm... told you it's hard to decide! Don't take my word for it though; take a listen! I'm willing to bet you'll find yourself tappin' your toes and singin' along before you know it!
