ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Taylor Brown has been performing music since he was four years old. As the son of a Broadway singer, Brown was immersed in music from a young age, revealing early on an exceptional ability and passion for music in classical piano. In high school, he directed his focus to the guitar, winning numerous competitions and academic excellence awards which received local media attention. In 2002, he was asked to write and perform a song for an audience of more than five thousand people at his graduation ceremony, a performance that would inevitably decide his fate as a professional musician. Brown then moved to Seattle to attend Cornish College of the Arts under several scholarship awards, graduating in May of 2006 with honors in jazz composition and music performance in guitar, piano, and voice. Brown now concentrates on the performance and production of his own works. He has performed in venues and studios world wide including Benaroya Hall, The Metra Park Arena, Poncho Concert Hall and the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville. As a song writer, his compositions have received radio airplay, spots on nation wide compilation albums (Best Of the Best 2006: College Records, Banana Belt Studio, Bennett NW), video play on independent films and major university recruitment films, (Duke, UCLA) as well as televised airplay on Fox Sports. Most recently, he has released a fourteen track solo album entitled “Bar Stool Ferris Wheels.” Interested in maximum artistic license, Brown constructed a homemade studio in his house and recorded and performed all the instruments himself on a Pro Tools setup. His broadcast-quality, self-produced, -written, -arranged, -performed, -recorded, -mixed, and -engineered album emphasizes the extent of his many talents. After two and a half years in the making, Bar Stool Ferris Wheels is now available on iTunes and other online distributors. With this respectable self presentation in hand, Brown is ready to strike out on the open road as a full time touring solo artist.

"Holy cow, This kid [Taylor Brown] is going to be a star! The world better watch out for him.”

-Jay Andrews, former steel guitar player for Tim Mcgraw, Brad Paisley, Dirks Bentley, Joe Nickols, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, The Lynn Sisters, Johnny Paycheck, etc...

“Taylor Brown’s music is reminiscent of Paul Simon and James Taylor, yet his sound has a serious edge of rock. The resulting mix is unique and irresistible.”

-Kelly Harland, Origin Recording Artist and Former RCA Recording Artist

You've got to see Taylor do his thing!
On a whim, I was in the neighborhood and Taylor Facebook'd me to come see him. Why not? Well, this dude really puts on a show! Got this CD and am really happy I did. Great music, great playing and a great smile. See him play and buy his CD if you really want to be entertained - impressive!
