Album Notes

Singer-songwriter-pianist Taylor Giacoma has a unique sound which has been described both as indie pop and folk and is probably neither. Taylor’s niche lies in a modern, accessible and popular sound wrapped in a narrative style molded by years of classical training and a love of cultivated music. Taylor was originally a self-taught musician, imitating the sounds of folk singers heard on her father’s records. Playing piano initially by ear and then eventually learning to read music via a book left in the family piano bench, she started writing small compositions for voice and piano as a very young child. Many years and many songs later, she is finally singing and playing them for audiences. She has garnered a small but growing loyal fan base and is playing regularly at numerous New York City venues. Her recently recorded debut album, Transatlantic Lammy, is being released in October 2007.

I loved the CD. The song I'm Sorry spoke volumes as did EF Eridimus. I happen to be an astronomy buff too so that was a very cool reference. Overall an awesome CD. You can tell this is someone who has been through much and triumphed.
