Album Notes

Taylor Henry – Your Eyes EP

With his debut EP, Your Eyes, there is no doubt that singer/songwriter Taylor Henry will have ears popping and heads turning. The project, featuring Brian Spradlin (long time guitar player and harmony singer for Joe Nichols) as producer, harmony singer and lead guitar player, was started to catch the ears of music lovers and record labels alike.

The soft, laid-back sound and smooth, soothing vocals that Taylor provides will surely leave all those who listen with a smile on their face. “I can only hope and pray that everyone who listens to my songs will get some kind of message out of them, whether it be a happy or sad one. As a songwriter my goal is to temporarily take listeners to an alternate world, a kind of happy place, where they can get away from the real life problems that we all face every day,” says Taylor.

“Your Eyes,” the title track from the album, is a simple, 70’s singer/songwriter style song, short and sweet, yet straight to the point. Positive lyrics and a sweet sound have left listeners, “Feeling as if I were sitting on the porch watching the sun set while drinking the perfect cup of hot tea.”

“Best Friend” is the simplest song on the album. With just guitar and vocals, it showcases not only Taylor’s voice, but the mature songwriting ability that made him stand out among the many artists in Nashville.

“She Loves Me” shows the marketability that comes with Henry. Written with co-writers Kim Copeland, and Janet McLaughlin, this song is truly a powerhouse body of work. It simply sums up the talent that he has to offer to the music industry and is a great example of his ability to hold his own with those already in the industry.

When you think Taylor Henry, the song “I Hate The Fall” will come to mind. Its’ mature lyrics and sweet melody will leave you captivated in the not-so-pleasing world of loss.

The final track on the album, “All Gone All Wrong,” is Taylor’s first attempt to show his personal thoughts about politics and life. “This is one of those songs that just flowed through my fingertips. Although I am young, I’m not oblivious to the less-than-honest morals many of our political and preeminent figures have. Being one of those who have been personally affected by crooked and selfish people, I felt it was my duty to write a song that expressed my feelings and the feelings of others.”

Here are a few things people have been saying about Taylor’s music…

“When I hear his songs, I feel myself become relaxed and somewhat at peace. All of his music has a good-hearted message, and I often find myself singing along…”

“It has a very unique sound, something I have yet to hear in the music industry, and the lyrics are extremely mature for someone his age.”

“A great singer, a great guitar player, and a great songwriter.”

Thank you so much for having an interest in my music. I plan on doing this for the remainder of my life on earth, and need your help so I can continue to come out with more and more material. Without your support I wouldn’t be able to do what I love. So, a big “thank you” to everyone who allows me to make music! ~ Taylor R. Henry

I'm not just saying this because we're related, I genuinely love Taylor's music! :) He's been very talented since he was pretty darn young and has grown so much since he first started. If you don't like this music then I don't know what is wrong with you! :P
