Album Notes

Many musicians are passionate about several genres of music and find it difficult to pursue just one. This is especially true of today's generation of young musicians. Few, however, have the chops, style and natural ability to master and convincingly portray more than a couple. Taylor is one of those few. I have a great respect for his innate ability to seamlessly blend his eclectic tastes into a unique sound that is all his own. His compositions are a perfect illustration of his deep understanding and commitment to traditional music and its natural evolution.

It has been my pleasure to watch and listen to Taylor grow into the extraordinary musician that he is today. This debut and long overdue solo recording displays his talents and tastes articulately and will appeal not only to fans of fiddle music, but to all fans of good music. Because when music is performed and produced as tastesfully as this, it doesn't matter what you call it. Everything else takes a back seat to the fire in a brisk fiddle tune, the tug of a heratfelt song or the swigng of an original composition. And all you are left with is the pure integrity of music performed from the soul of a true musician. That's what Taylor accomplishes on this fine recording, and we are all fortunate to be able to share in it. -- April Verch (from album liner notes)

I am kind of biased because I am the bass player on this CD. I was thrilled to be asked to play with such a stellar crew. Taylor is a true musical genius who knows exactly what he wants to creat, and doesn't settle for less that absolute quality in his music. This CD is top notch.

An eclectic mix of songs that ranges from traditional Americana roots, and bluegrass to jazz. Also included is a great vocal composition. The playing is outstanding and the musicians are of the highest calibre. Highly recommended.
