ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This double-length album of "They Sang to Me - Live in Concert" captures TCGMC's Artistic Director, Dr. Stan Hill's final farewell concerts, recorded live on June 22 and 23, 2012 at Ted Mann Concert Hall, in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Hill thoughtfully hand-selected each song to showcase some of the most beautiful music you've ever heard for his final performance with the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus. The concert highlights some of the top musical movements of the past twelve years and also looks to the future by featuring new music written and arranged specifically for this concert. The men of the TCGMC sing a final “Bravo!” to Dr. Stan Hill in this live concert recording. // This album was underwritten by the generosity of the 2011-2012 Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus Board of Directors, as a farewell gift to Dr. Stan Hill. // ARTISTIC CREDITS: Dr. Stan Hill, Artistic Director; Timothy DePrey, Principal Accompanist; Bel Canto String (Elizabeth Bell, Jill Olson Moser, Laurel Browne, & Diane Tremaine), Instrumentalists; Steve Humerickhouse, Oboe // ALBUM CREDITS: Recorded, edited, and mastered by David Trembley for Soundmaster Productions; Chris Mellin, Graphic Design; Paul Nixdorf, Photography; Ryan Mayer, Executive Producer // THANK YOU: Jeffrey D. My boys
Many thanks to David Trembley for this amazing live recording. And to the 140 men who sang so wonderfully. I am so proud of their work and this will serve as a legacy of their incredible performances.
