Album Notes

What is it that grabs your attention when you here a song or a band that you like? What is it that makes something better or just down right easier to listen to? When do we know that a sound is different or just hauntingly familiar? The beauty is in the ears of the beholder and the truth of the music is carried out when the band plays with conviction. This conviction is what you will always get from TCB.

TCB (Thomas Connor Band) has been together 8 years originating in the San Diego, CA area. Jazz inflected rock and roll music that is powerful yet subtle, soulful yet gritty, soft though direct, sexy though humble. The loyalty to the music has been a blessing that most can only dream about. Good music, good friends - the Thomas Connor Band moves forward like an on coming tide.

TCB is

Bill Cornish - Keyboards - background vocals
Grady McGrew - Guitars - background vocals
Joaquin Solorzano - Bass guitar - background vocals
Rodney Zinnen - Drums
Thomas Connor - Lead Vocals - Acoustic Guitars - Harmonica

Bill and Grady are formerly from the band Crystal, Joaquin is formerly of the band Malo and Rodney is a export from the Milwaukee music scene who has found a home here in California.

The players are what makes the bands unique sound and each player in TCB brings his own magic and special ingredient to this musical table. No B.S. no smoke and mirrors, just a large helping of some damn good music.

We believe! We hope you will too.

Press Reviews:

"Full-bodied, jazz inflected rock arrangements with socially conscious lyrics. Despite a six-man roster that includes a keyboardist and a percussionist, [the band's] compositions never lose focus. The band keeps things tight and allows the listener's attention to remain on the uplifting message of their lyrics."
- Chad Driscoll (Listen.com)

"Engaging soft rock with a Latin flavor, funky bass playing and distinctly cleaned up blues guitar. This band has a spiritual agenda similar to Earth, Wind, and Fire, and they aren't shy about letting you know."
- Sarah B. (Listen.com)
