Tim Collins
Vibraphonist
This is an early demo from Tim's college days. The predecessor of his later album "Valcour" which was released on Arabesque Records in 2006, and "Fade" (2008 Ropeadope). This album is simply swingin' straight ahead jazz at its best. Be sure to check out Tim's rock project "ElephantBear" where he does much more than just play vibes..

I liked this cd alot! Tim, and Ayako seem to complete each other. It started off really nice, by the end they had my attention. I really love the xylophone (vibes). Take notice Lional, a new kids in town!!!

An exceptionally bright and brisk live jazz album featuring vivid jazz vibes, lighting up a full-spectrum sound. Incorporating influences from Funk, Rock and Latin styles with sassy backbeats and forthright piano punctuation, this east coast group is one that jazz connoisseurs will be talking about. With outstandintg compositional integrity, this is truly a meeting of voices, a group performance with one, cohesive vision. Highly recommended.

Vibrant, exciting,... clearly a musician moving up!
author: Peg Schmidt
This music starts right out with imagination and verve. The vibes take on a life of their own and the interplay between vibes and piano captured me repeatedly as I listened. Nice original compositions, fresh sound.

Vibraphones make for a unique sound
author: George
I generally prefer more abstract Jazz, but the instrumentation and composition here make this a very enjoyable album. The vibraphone-piano interplay is great! After listening to this album a few times, I've concluded that vibes, piano, bass, and drum is my favorite Jazz quartet instrumentation.
