Album Notes

This CD of spoken word is dedicated to Joe Cardarelli who inspired young poets in Baltimore, Maryland for over two decades. While Joe was a professor of literature at MICA, he nurtured his students' love for the spoken word.
Joe passed away on August 26, 1994 at the age of fifty.

Among these young poets were Tom Diventi and Phil Smith who established The Apathy Project in 1977. The Apathy Project was a performance space on Lovegroove Alley, in Baltimore, Maryland. There, local poets, performance
artists and musicians found a home to work on their craft.

In 1986, Tom Diventi established Apathy Press.

"Together Again For The First Time" is a second CD in a series of spoken word CD's which focuses on Baltimore poets who were greatly influenced by this poetry movement.

Poems 1 - 31 written and read by Tom Diventi. Poems 32 - 46 written and read by Phil Smith.
All poems are the sole property of the respective poets.
All poems on this CD were recorded at Bird House Studios, Inc., Baltimore, Maryland in 2004.
