Album Notes

TEA is a solo artist, a very solo artist. She constructs her songs out of a recording studio she built herself in San Francisco's Mission District. Here she writes all the songs, sings, plays all the instruments, produces, engineers and mixes. With a strong, evocative voice and unique slide guitar sound, TEA has crafted another beautiful, emotionally grabbing pop album. Her music has inspired critics to say: "a lovely, soulful voice", "a dynamite and diverse CD", "full of brilliant songcraft and brawny guitar", "lush and perfectly understated".

TEA has worked alongside such notable producers as Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith, Suzanne Vega, Soul Asylum) and Greg Hawkes (the Cars). TEA achieved critical acclaim in the San Francisco club scene as a founding member of the band Her Majesty the Baby which was billed with such top-notch acts as P.J. Harvey, the Pixies, Cake, Fugazi, the Geraldine Fibbers, the Throwing Muses, the Proclaimers and the Flaming Lips.

TEA also won a songwriting award with HtMB at the Boston Music Awards, was nominated for best independent release (produced and mixed by TEA) at the BAMMIES (Bay Area Music Awards), and best rock act by the San Francisco Alternative Music Awards. Her Majesty the Baby's last album, Mary, charted on over 170 college radio stations across the country and won the New Music Challenge on KITS (Live 105).
