Album Notes

Electronic Early Music - That is probably the most succinct description of this album. Stimulating and relaxing.

Give a musician who lived 500 years ago a modern synthesizer, and imagine what it would sound like. Maybe if Tangerine Dream had used some latin Masses as a music source. Who knows? Technostolic music doesn't have lyrics. It uses the colors of sound to communicate its message.

Relaxing and contemplative, this CD is an imaginative twist on ancient melodies.

I first listened to this CD while stuck in a 2 1/2 hour Seattle traffic jam. It's wonderfully refreshing and original, yet harkens to the old with its musical foundation based on ancient church melodies. Play it enough--as I did while sitting in traffic--and certain tracks jump out: #5 ("Lasso"-Motet Cum Essem Parvulus) is my favorite, with #1 and #8 close behind. Whether in traffic or in prayer, this CD is relaxing, contemplative, and imaginative.

Awesome and relaxing sums up this CD. I take it whereever I go as a reminder that peace is just a sojourn away.
