The Chicago Spirituals is a gospel group that blends contemporary and traditional gospel like no other group ever has. The group is anchored by international favorite Tecora Rogers who has toured extensively throughout Europe performing gospel with the Shirley Wahls Singers and as a solo artist performing jazz and gospel.

In 2003, Tecora was offered the opportunity to bring her own group to Europe and she established the Chicago Spirituals. The group recently completed another wildly successful European tour in January 2007.

The Chicago Spirituals were very fortunate to have Tecora Rogers, Lead Soprano / Alto; Betty Jones, Alto; Marilyn Hearns, Soprano; Corneal Harper, Jr., Tenor / Baritone; and Kevin Smith, Musical Director as part of the group. Each person played a key role to the group's success.

From Thomas A. Dorsey to Mahalia Jackson, Chicagoans have been the center of the progress of gospel music for decades. With Tecora Rogers at the helm and Kevin Smith's musical direction, the Chicago Spirituals continue this epic journey.
