Album Notes

This is a modern, yet classic sounding album. Acoustic jazz - bass, drums, saxophones, piano, that's it. Mostly originals with some standards of the American Songbook.

Recorded in Seattle in 1995 and 1996, this is Ted's first recording, using the young lions of the Northwest jazz scene. Inspired by the West Coast jazz of the 50's and 60's - Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, Art Pepper - and the Blue Note and Verve records coming out of New York - Miles Davis's Kind of Blue, Bill Evans, Paul Desmond - this is a great moody jazz record. Melodic, easy going, and consistant.

Please check it out.
