Album Notes

SUMMERLAND...

is magnificent!

Greetings Y'all!

This album was written SEQUENTIALLY, in the exact order that you hear it. This is the second installment in the style of "Natural Order."

This music features Laura Newman on Saxophone and Patrick Shinn on Electric Guitar and mandolin.

"Libra Sun" is an upbeat, feel good cruisin' type of song with tenor saxophone as the main melody.

"Tragic Passion" features a chamber music sound with piano, strings and bassoon. It's a melancholy and beautiful theme.

"Saved By The Moon" is a funky, soundscape-y with xylophone bones with jazz overtones. Let it save you!

"Tag Along, Little One" is just plain jubilant and driving.
Features tenor sax and haunting riffs.

"March On The Cobblestones." Imagine gnomes marching on cobblestones somewhere in a far off land. With cruncy guitar, it cascades into a lovely mandolin rush!

"The Missed" is a gorgeous, languid, lovely piano theme with tenor saxophone. It's simply a beautiful song, elegantly arranged.

"Stream of Hope" is a rockin' Nu-Jazz theme with piano and a great guitar lead.

"Welcome Home" is a bluesy-jazzy song with plenty of melody and longing. Features tenor saxophone.

"Omeniah" is a mind-blowing jazz song with dark moods and a dynamite saxophone solo.

"Greener Grass" is a feel good, gee-it's great-to-be-alive kind of song! Enjoy. The synthesizer part was called "Gargoyle." It's different!

"His Father's Hands" is a contemplative piano solo with a lyrical saxophone solo at the end.

Thanks for stopping by, and SAVE THE PLANET!!
