Tammy Edwards born and raised in Iowa has been a singer/songwriter for the past 23 years and has won 14 National songwriting awards over the past 10 years. She finds her inspiration from true life experiences. She spent 4 years on the mission field traveling to 36 countries and loves to travel to the islands where she finds great inspiration for her songs. Some of her awards include: 1997 Christian Artists Inspirational Song of the Year in Estes Park, CO for her song "Seasons of Love", 1998 Runner up in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for her children's song "Through the Night", and most currently won 3 awards in Hollywood, California in the Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Those include: 2002 Contemporary Christian Album of the Year for "Widow's Mite", 2002 Just Plain Folks Overall album of the Year for "Widow's Mite" out of the 7800 entries, and Just Plain Folks 2002 Songwriter of the Year out of 20,000 songwriters in the worldwide organization. Tammy has other unsigned artists recording her music. She hopes to land a song one day soon on a movie soundtrack. Tammy has shared the stage with two signed Christian Artists out of Nashville , Tennessee, Greg Long and the group FFH.
