For the past 13 years, Doug has released 9 dungeon music albums under the pen name of Butt Boy. (that’s with two capital B’s, please) Voted “Cool Composer” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Butt Boy is now a staple in the underground world in which his dark, ambient, techno/trance music albums are soundtracks for BDSM/Leather “playtime” where Butt Boy’s followers, both gay and straight, whip, spank, tie-up and dominate their way into ecstasy. So it is no surprise, when Doug decided to “branch out” and write other styles of music under yet another pen name of Tekestral, (Teh-KESS-trul) that his well-established underground fan base followed him like the pied-piper into the dance music world. The accomplished composer of stage and screen (and dungeon music) released his first Techno/Orchestral dance music CD entitled Worship The Dance. (www.Tekestral.com) Tekestral’s long songs are a trip into the imagination as they fuse Techno-Trance with Classical Orchestral instrumentation. Peppered with Middle-Eastern influences, Tekestral’s music opens up a new style of techno/dance that is refreshing.

Now Tekestral has released a fun energy CD called Bust A Drum. Dance or groove to it, but you’ll enjoy the ride.

Whether you recognize the Tekestral sound or not, with the dungeon fans of Butt Boy now converting to dance fans of Tekestral, the next time you’re on the dance floor, you may notice just a few whips and chains dancing next to you.
