With ten hours in studio and ten months of post processing, Television Pickup has created an album that sounds like a collection of postcards from a deserted tourist paradise, scanned and converted to electronic signals.
Kinescope Mountain is Television Pickup’s second album release. Here they continue their journey through a mixed bag of suggestive musical landscapes, from widescreen panoramas to clinical close-ups. Katrine Amsler’s music is characterized by simple but spellbinding melodies, rearranged and transformed by the band. And if everything else is beyond recognition, the moods and the typical Television Pickup sound is what glues it all together.
