Album Notes

Temika's debut CD, Moment of Truth is a musical archive of her personal journey to find peace and truth in her spiritual and professional life. What better title to introduce the listener to an intimate musical experience with Ms. Moore. Temika wants the listener to walk away with a sense of empowerment as stated in the third track of this CD, "No longer will I look for others to validate me, it's my life and I know what I want it to be-I'm so glad I found peace of mind!" These offerings are deeply personal and can be categorized as what she calls "inspirational soul."

Temika Moore is regarded by many as a vocal virtuoso sharing the title with vocal power houses Rachelle Ferrell, Ledisi, Maysa, Lizz Wright and Lalah Hathaway. Considered under-the-radar of mainstream music culture, those that have discovered Temika’s body of work consider themselves to be among an exclusive group of music aficionados. Temika inspires and encourages through clever, thought-provoking lyrics that call attention to both social and spiritual issues all while keeping you in the “pocket.” She has shared the stage with Will Downing, Roy Ayers, Marcus Johnson, the late Stanley Turrentine. She has also opened for KEM, Ledisi, Dwele, Conya Doss, Cassandra Wilson, Najee, Pieces of a Dream, Melba Moore and Jean Carne to name a few. If you have booked any of these artists for your events, Temika Moore should be among your top choices to help promote your next event.

At Last.... I finally found your CD after searching in stores and online only to find it out of stock or special order only. I first heard Temika sing on the campus of UMES, and I knew then that she had a special gift that would surely define her from the rest of the mainstream artists. Temika's voice is beautiful and the CD is magnificant. I am trully honored to say that I love this CD and I cannot wait to hear more music from Temika Moore.
