Tempestt Bring Em On
author: Peter Clarke
I first hear of this group recently via CD that came with Power Play magazine. The 'Bring Em On' track was what caught my attention. The raunchiest track I have heard in years. The singer reminding me of Frank Aiello's vocal in Cozy Powell's 'Bedlam' back in '72. I then bought the CD via CD Baby and me (53) and my son (13) can't stop playing it! Hope one day Tempestt will make it to Australia for some gigs. This album is top shelf. Regards to all, Pete

Back in 2001 during my 1st ever visit to Sao Paolo, Brasil, I was flown in to do a premier gig for the 1st time as a solo artist. Unfortunately the promoters there could not fund me to bring my own band over with me but ensured there was a band, a group of musicians, who would perfectly suit my needs on every musical level…this band was & IS Tempestt!!
I was skeptical as the songs from my past vary from technical to pop, sometimes soul, sometimes metal, and everything in between. Very rarely have I met musicians in ‘one’ band who possess the skills to take it to ‘every’ level so I went into rehearsals thinking it was going to be more work than fun…I couldn’t be more wrong! These guys had EVERY nuance to every song down, note for note, didn’t matter which part of my career we were covering, they nailed it.
BJ, their singer, joined me on every harmony vocal perfectly on every song. It was as if I was singing with my twin!! He understood every nuance of how I stylize my harmonies & it was a pleasure singing along with someone who ‘gets it’.
Leo, their guitarist, was the consummate pro, he played each song like he had studied each of those guitarists as his own influences.
Paulo, their bass player, was just as impressive, a lot of my past music features very intricate bass lines that few I know or have met can cover & he did so with the utmost precision.
The final piece to the amazing puzzle was their young drummer Edu. I think he was only 19 or 20 at the time & this kid was playing at top session, veteran levels. I was floored at his timing, his style & perfect balance of aggression & charisma in his drumming.
Now these guys finally have their debut release done & ready to assault the world. I am proud to have been asked to join them as a duet on one song, Insanity Desire, which is amongst the other killer tracks here. The production, the energy, the songs & the drive of this band make me proud to have them in my repertoire of fellow musicians, brothers if I may. I introduce to you, Tempestt!!
