Live In Las Vegas 1991!

The date...March 2, 1991...The place...The "Copa Room" at the Sands in Las Vegas

The Event...Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame sensations...

Highlights
Among the many highlights of this show are, Dennis Edwards masterful interpretation of Leon Russell's "A Song For You", David Ruffin's "My Girl" in which the first verse is sung entirely in German! and Eddie Kendrick's usual trek through the Copa show room where you hear audience participation on "Just My Imagination" and "The Way You Do The Things You Do".

This is a wonderful, newly uncovered live show that has been digitally copied in it's entirety, with minimal editing. The events are just the way they happened on that evening ...March 2nd, 1991.

An historic night

To be honest, I really wasn’t expecting much from this set, as I’ve heard from a couple of people that, by this time, Eddie’s and David’s voices were shot. Well, this album gives lie to that assertion, as both sound terrific—amazing given that Eddie was dying of cancer and David was decades deep into cocaine addiction and would be dead within months of this show—and Dennis Edwards more than holds his own and proves that he definitely belongs on the Mount Olympus of Tempts singers. If you’re a Tempts fan, you absolutely can’t miss this one. A VERY pleasant surprise, and CD Baby’s exemplary service made the experience even sweeter.
