Cecilia Tenconi has so many talents, it's hard to know which one to focus on. She has played with some of the great latin, and brazilian jazz stars, including Ray Barretto, Patato Valdez,Frank Colon, Cafe

When she plays tenor sax, she shakes you to the roots with a big, throaty sound that brings to mind images of urban streetcorners.

When she plays the flute, she becomes at once percussion and melody, creating elaborate, breathing structures that seem to dance before your eyes and inside your mind.

And when she sings, she sounds like Carole King, if the esteemed pop/soul singer were to suddenly switch her native tongue to spanish.
