Album Notes

"With the staple bottleneck blues playing of Chris Budro and Dave Dribbon, Tennessee Hollow can easily be compared to jam band heroes The North Mississippi All-Stars or Stevie Ray Vaughan. But, when laying down the electric guitars for the dobro and acoustic guitars, Tennessee Hollow doesn't sound too far removed from Zeppelin's broken down blues tunes like "Gallows Pole" or "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp." What I especially like about Tennessee Hollow, besides their friendly songs, is that lead singer Dave Dribbon stays true to his natural voice and doesn't sing in a forced growl like many blues imitators."

If you're a fan of traditional blues, acoustic, Americana, and rock'n'roll, you will absolutely love this album. These guys are phenomenal. I only wish I lived on the East Coast so I could catch the live version! Some of the best musicianship from everyone in the band as well.

Great group with terrific songs - original, smooth, and very sapid.

Tennessee Hollow has a great sound with terrific songs to boot. Their earthy and delta-blues style is a fresh reminder that just because you're from Boston doesn't mean you have to play the standard classic or hard rock so predominant in this area. Beautiful music, fellas, and keep up the great work!

Ive been to see these guys play a few times and have listened to the album close to a hundred. Half of the album is perfect to play on a Sunday morning after a long night of drinking, The other half is hard rockin' bluesy music at its finest. Dave Dribbon's voice is very soothing to listen to a little like John Hiatt, Ray Lamontagne, Van Morrison, and old blues greats all mixed together. The band behind him rocks hard like Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, and the Band! Anyone out there who likes bluesy rootsy rock music like me, YOU HAVE TO ADD THIS DISC TO YOUR COLLECTION!!
