Album Notes

Ten Toes Up's new release "Bridges & Breakdowns" is a collection of 11 fast moving songs that demonstrates the bands affections for the rock-funk style that they have embraced. The music is defined by their tight grooves and storytelling lyrics. The diversity of the album is evident in several stripped down numbers that are almost haunting. A guest horn section adds to the funk of "Can You Help Me" reminiscent of soul of the 70s. Pulling from their Allman Brothers roots, "Pleased To Meet You" is a dirty, bluesy tune evoking the storm of a woman wronged. "Bridges & Breakdowns" is a complete work with something for everyone.
