Album Notes

An exponent of epic soundscapes and emotive horizons of neo-classical inspiration, Tera a.k.a Ting Si Hao presents ‘Promise’. This debut album represents Tera’s first foray into the world of digital composition since his initial endeavours at the tender age of 14. Inspired by majestic soundtracks from Games and ambient textures, Tera has ventured into a world of music. Explore this shifting sonic sculpture of wonder and fantasy as we partake of heroic inspiration and innocent romance.


“Promise” is produced using digital music using realistic samples, combining elements of fantasy and classical into a narrative about a Boy in a desperate attempt to save his loved ones. Although this album contains “Out of context” tracks such as “Bring It On, Kungfu Fighter!”, it is meant to depict a degree versatility in different genres of composing. The journey through my album Promise reflects the tremendous experiences of the protagonist throughout his whole journey. The album contains mystery themes, battle themes, epic orchestral pieces as well as soothing numbers that articulate feelings of desolation, hope, love and hatred.



Tera's music is heavily influenced by Final Fantasy Series composer - Nobuo Uematsu as well as many other japanese game-soundtrack composers. He is also influenced by the melodious wonders of New Age music.
