Thank you for visiting this site. This is my newest cd and the one I feel best represents my work and spirit now. Doug Jayne of Jackalope Records co-produced this effort with me and from it's inception, it felt as though we'd caught a thermal and just sailed her in. We were joined by some truly wonderful musicians. It was our desire to keep the production and arrangements as simple and direct as possible, as a result, each musician's performance is showcased and highly defined. My dear friend, Charlie Musselwhite takes a great turn on the song "New Orleans" ( written right after Katrina ) and captures the wail of pain we all felt watching "her" go down. Kevin Russell's solo on " Hey Mr. Baby " is a complete delight and manages to reference a time in American music that still inspires. Ron Stinnet on accordion, Michael Capella on slide guitar and mandolin, Stacy Samuels on banjo, Sam Page on bass and cello, and the incomperable Kenny Edwards on guitar and bass (and co-production of the song " Our Lady" ), all added their talents and fine spirits to my songs and I am so very grateful. This cd is filled with life. It is my attempt to be unflinching as I look into " her" mysteries and hold the tension between the beauty and the horror. I hope you find something here. I send it out with love and gratitude. teresa
